The Students Union elections held at the University of Benin on Friday 14th February, 2020. As a way of ensuring
maximum participation by the students, Management declared the day lecture free.
After the successful conduct of the elections some dissensions were expressed by a handful of students as expected in competitions.
For the avoidance of doubt, however, the election has been adjudged largely credible by NANS Observers and Security Personnel. Furthermore the conditions for voting were outlined
ahead of the exercise.
Management has advised that any grievance regarding the elections should be sent, through the Dean of Students, to the Vice Chancellor who will address such grievances. Students are also urged not to take the laws into their hands as there will be dire consequences.
