EXAMINATION SAGA: Confusion over shift in Uniben 1st semester examination, here what you should Know!!!

Recently, there has been confusion over the shift in 2016/2017 1st semesters examination.
Some Uniben students sent messages to other students via various social media platforms stating that the 1st semester examinations still holds by January. This has made many students doubt the authenticity of information that  Uniben senate has actually amended the 2016/2017 Academic Calendar.  Below is a message from the Students Union Government P.R.O Hon. Ikotu Gideon Kelechi, confirming the information about an amendments in the 2016/2017 Academic Calendar.
Read below....

"This is to remind you that on the 21st day of December 2016, the Senate of University of Benin approved the request by the Student's Union Government to amend the 2016/2017 academic Calendar by shifting the first semester examinations by four weeks ( one month).
To those who have made it a habit to continually spread false information to cause tension and chaos among the Good people of Uniben Students,  it will interest you to know that a decision made by Senate could only be reversed by the Senate and not Faculty Board. (I still wonder where you got your info from).
According to the Dean Of Students, the management would release an update to this effect. Please Note that the Exact date of the commencement of exams would be released by the management."
