UNIBEN PHARMACY STUDENTS PROTEST ONE WEEK OF NO CLASSES.

Pharmacy students in University of Benin turned out en masse in the early hours of yesterday in a peaceful match to the Vice Chancellor's office to register their grievances with the current strike action rocking the faculty.

On the 2nd of July, 2018 the lecturers of the faculty embarked on an indefinite strike over the non payment of professional allowance. Some have suggested that the decision to embark on the strike was from the fact that other health professionals in the school have been paid the said allowance, while that of pharmacy lecturers have remained pending.
.
Whichever is the case, the students have genuinely requested that the strike be called off and that the lost days be added for them in the calendar. This request by the ever intellectual pharmacy students have been made in the calmest and most mature way
