THE SUPREME PARLIAMENT STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT, UNIVERSITY OF BENIN, HELD HER 4th PLENARY ON MONDAY 19th DEC 2016
HOUSE BUSINESS :
1. Ratification of the Judicial Arm

3. Any other Business (A.O.B) was discussed.

RESOLUTIONS:
1. A motion for the Suspension of the ratification of the Judicial Arm was moved and seconded which was duly adopted by the House; this was on the ground of some irregularities that surrounded the process.
2. A motion for the Reinstatement of the Suspended Executive Council Members (i.e; The President and the Secretary General) was moved and was seconded, which was duly adopted by the House.
In Line with this, the House However Mandated the Chairman, Union Property Committee to return the properties of the reinstated Executive Council Members with immediate effect.
3. The House also resolved by issuing a seven day ultimatum to shuttle drivers to honour the Agreement which Led to the increment of shuttle fare to N30, due to this, any breach of the Agreement, the price will be reversed back to N20.
4. The House However resolved that Management put into consideration, the letter of appeal sent by the Students’ Union Government for the postponement of the proposed Exam, which is scheduled to start on the 9th of January 2017.
5. The House also resolved that the State of Hall 2 Reading Room be improved on (i.e, The fans and the electric bulbs be in working condition)
6. The House finally resolved that the dilapidated state of Hall 3 Block B, 100 Series bathroom and toilet be renovated and given proper attention, in order to stop the water Log.
