There was news (rumour) spreading inside and outside campus that a student of University of Benin died of Lassa Fever.
Well, the SUG PRO Hon. Oguche Divine Omale who was on Air during the week on Man Around Town Independent radio was asked the same question. Here is what he has to say "No student died of Lassa fever in Uniben, Even the Uniben PRO also confirmed it. If you come to campus you will see flyers and banners about lassa fever. In order to curb this rat issue, the SUG has bought cats and place them in our hostel so that they can eat the rats" - Oguche Divine. So therefore we encourage you all to stop spreading the rumour.
