The University of Benin Sports Centre headed by the Director of Sports, Dr. (Mrs.) F.I. Egbase unveiled her plans and schedules for the 2015/2016
academics session in a meeting held on Tuesday the 8th of December, 2015 at the main bow of the Sports Complex.
On the 16th of January, 2016, the annual University Marathon Race will kick off the session sporting activities while from January 11th to 6th of February 2016, the Deans’ Cup for various faculties will also commence in preparation for the Vice Chancellors cup which is the ground finally of all the University of Benin students sports activities, was proposed to kick off from the 16th of May to the 28th of May, 2016.
However, the University Director of Sports also stated that if any Principal University Programme happens to come up on any of the proposed dates, the event is subject to change.
In attendance were Coaches in-charge of Faculties, Faculties Sports (Officer Coordinators), Students Faculty Director of Sports, and also the present Students’ Union Government Director of Sports, Ogbedegbe John.
