UPDATE: UNIBEN SUG PRO addresses Uniben students on latest development on Campus

5 Aluta greetings to all UNIBEN students.I want to wholeheartedly thank all the University of Benin students for their courage and strength thus far.
It indeed show that a people United can not be divided and the voice of the people is truly the voice of God. When there is a just course to be fought, God is always present.
Quickly, I want to inform University of Benin students to be calm and focused in the struggle for a better welfare for all because according to the Students Union government, University of Benin have not been shut down because University of Benin students did not commit any crime for our institution to be shut down except the management of university of Benin want to tell us that it is now a crime to embark on a peaceful protest or challenge the policies of governments in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Moreover,We are aware that the light and water supply in the halls of residence has been cut off. This we know is a strategy to frustrate UNIBEN students out of the halls of residence but the Students Union government want to inform University of Benin students that we can not be distracted by this challenge.
It would be remembered that the Vice chancellor while addressing Uniben Students on Thursday gave us his word that the Governing Council will meet to consider the demands of University of Benin students between Thursday and Saturday which expired yesterday and we await the reports from the meeting but the demands of UNIBEN students stands.

However,I'll like to use this medium to inform the general public to disregard the rumour that protesting University of Benin students burnt the University Medical lab. No structure or property was destroyed and none would be destroyed because university of Benin students are intellectuals and not touts.
In conclusion, We advice University of Benin students not to go home yet as we await the report from the management of university of Benin on Monday.
The struggle is ALIVE,  FRESH and REAL.

IF THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT WANTS TO SHUT DOWN UNIVERSITY OF BENIN TILL FURTHER NOTICE, THEY MUST FIRST TELL UNIBEN STUDENTS THEIR CRIMES BECAUSE UNIBEN IS A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROPERTY AND NOT A PRIVATE PROPERTY WHICH MEANS THAT UNIBEN STUDENTS ARE STAKEHOLDERS OF THE INSTITUTION.
ALUTA CONTINUA!
VICTORIA ACERTA!!!
